If the player is going to have a better hand than the dealer they win both the ante and the bet. If the player in Caribbean stud poker will not have a hand better than the dealer then they will lose both their ante and their bet. Never get overexcited by you’re your flush in Caribbean stud poker because if the dealer does not qualify you will be given only even money on your ante.
