In the set of laws for Omaha 8 or Better, or presently Omaha 8, each poker player makes a detached five-card high poker hand and five-card ace-to-five low poker hand, and the pot is divided between the high and low poker hands. The player can have a high hand or a low hand or a combination of high and low or there can be only a high and no qualifying low in the table.

The Poker stud Strategy is based on the table stakes, type of stud game, the cards on the table versus how they read with your pockets, strength of your opponents, number of players in the table, the number of players after the betting rounds. In any poker stud strategy there are a few basic things that you might be focusing on while the starting hands are dealt out. If the player is going to have a better hand than the dealer they win both the ante and the bet. If the player in Caribbean stud poker will not have a hand better than the dealer then they will lose both their ante and their bet. Never get overexcited by you’re your flush in Caribbean stud poker because if the dealer does not qualify you will be given only even money on your ante. If the dealer qualifies they will compare their hand to every player’s hand. Always expect a bit of ante-only shock in Caribbean stud poker because the dealer does not qualify there. (more…)
