The number of players that are there in the table has a lot to do in determining poker stud strategy.  Each player has to get 7 cards and if just one deck of card is going to be used then if there are going to be around 7 players nearly 49 cards goes for the dealing alone and just 3 cards will be left! But stop, this confusion does rarely comes, because with every card dealt the players will have to bet, before it is time for the fifth street card a maximum of the players would have folded down. And by the time it is the turn for the sixth street card; then the players remaining should be just those that are waiting to see the final news for winnings.  Sometime the worse hand fishes also stay up until showdown.
